Brad: I grew up in a Christian family. My oldest brother shared with me the good news of salvation by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ. I placed my trust in Him when I was five years old. I'm presently working alongside the Hungarian Evangelical Church in Budapest. Kari: I placed my trust in Jesus Christ for salvation when I heard the gospel at the age of 14 at a Young Life camp.

Magyar Mullets February 2010 Newsletter

Dear Family and Friends,

It’s almost springtime in Hungary. February was a get-current-as-a-foreigner month for us. Praise God, we’ve gotten most of our

paperwork out of the way for the next few years: 1) Our new passports are good for ten years; 2) We’re praying our five-year

residence permits will be ready for pickup the end of March; 3) We will pick up our new drivers licenses in three weeks; and 4)

Both our vehicles have had their big inspections, so now they just need regular routine maintenance as they approach obsolescence.

All our bills are paid up. Praise God with us for the regular occasions He affords us to interact with and pray for those in

authority over us. Thank you for praying for us.

Now that we’ve been back for a couple months, we’re

reminded again of the wide-open doors of opportunity

the Lord has opened for His Church in Hungary.

He regularly brings His grace to accomplish His will

to our minds. I still stand amazed at how God used a

developer to provide $500,000 worth of renovations

into our Ministry Center in 2009.

Attila, the foreman of our subway station, told me

the landscaping around our station will be finished

by the end of April, and the subway is on schedule to

open by the end of 2011. An amazing number of relationships

centered around the gospel were started in

just the last year alone. Just a year and a half remains

to train, prepare, and work the bugs out of our grandscale-

gospel-proclamation efforts, which at this writing

will include the Arts ministry, English clubs, and

the Alpha course.

It’s interesting to me that our field financial coffers

are empty just when the moratorium on exterior improvements

is soon to be lifted and our coffeehouse

and kitchen have no furnishings. We could claim ugliest-building-next-to-a-subway-stop status. It’s also interesting that our

local church is financially strapped and our Ministry Center fund will be empty after a mid-March property tax payment. Nonetheless,

it’s amazing to be on location and to witness what God has brought about. We are so thankful for the providential resolve

of our partners to discern what pleases the Lord. We are only indebted to Jesus Christ for paying the penalty for our sins. Perseverance

in faith pays off in peace of mind.

Thus, we find ourselves confident in the familiar position of complete dependence on the LORD. We are seeking to understand His

will. Over the last ten years it seems the Lord has positioned an increasing number of His witnesses near an exceedingly greater

number of lost people. It seems the Lord is providing the laborers in answer to prayer. It seems we have roughly a year and a

half to outfit our facility for the advance of the gospel in this location.

Our teammates, Mark and Jodi Revell, with sons Jonah

and Parker arrived March 1st and are settling in. Danube

International Church will move to the Ministry Center

on March 21st. We have great joy in anticipation of gainfully

serving the Lord together alongside Hungarians in

these exciting times.

We need your prayers and support for these significant

events and projects:

Events:

• Hungary Summit Banquet April 9th—$2500. This

event will honor, thank, and introduce all the companies

who labored on the big renovations in 2009

for the benefit of all the ministries in the Ministry

Center.

• Arts Café Children’s Day, May 29th—Hungarian

Evangelical Churches are funding this event to further

introduce the local church to families in the

surrounding high rises.

Projects:

• Outfitting the coffeehouse kitchen (without coffee machine)—$15,000. This project is primarily for Alpha courses, English

clubs, and Arts Café ministries among many others.

• Repairing all the stucco and concrete to the exterior of the building and painting the Arts café scheme on the outside of the

building—$60,0000.
