Mullets January 2011 Newsletter
Dear Family and Friends,
Grace and peace to you. On January 22nd a great man of God left this earth for his heavenly home with Christ. Gary Adams trained me to lead a prayer team to Hungary in 1997 and played a key role in encouraging us to serve here long term. He invested much of his time, energy, and resources into the work in Hungary and we are grateful for his life. Pray for his wife Bonnie and their family.
The month of January flew by:
• Our English outreach clubs started up again;
• Basketball season is in full swing;
• Ministries are gaining momentum coming out of the cold dark winter months;
• We are encouraged by preparations to begin the Alpha Course with the Kelenföld Evangelical Church; and
• We finally started the long-put-off project of outfitting the coffeehouse kitchen.
We’re grateful to God for the more than $6,000 that came in donations to the kitchen project. My friend Zoli, the chef, has a knack for tracking down used commercial grade kitchen equipment, so we’ve put a few kilometers on the Ford Transit in that pursuit. We’ve already gotten our sinks, prep tables, shelves, plates, pots and pans, chafings, and silverware. We also found a coffee machine. March 17th will be the launch of our first course in the Ministry Center.
On the home front Jacob was out of school for two weeks with pneumonia and influenza. He managed to lose 15 lbs and is still not back to his energetic self. Please pray for his continued recovery and strength for the two remaining basketball tournaments. Thank you again for your participation with us in the purposes of God here in Hungary.
With Love in Christ,
Brad, for all of us
