Brad: I grew up in a Christian family. My oldest brother shared with me the good news of salvation by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ. I placed my trust in Him when I was five years old. I'm presently working alongside the Hungarian Evangelical Church in Budapest. Kari: I placed my trust in Jesus Christ for salvation when I heard the gospel at the age of 14 at a Young Life camp.

Magyar Mullets April 2011 Prayer Letter

Dear Family and Friends,

Grace and peace to you from God our Father!

O LORD, your instructions endure, today they stand firm by your decrees, for all things are your servants…If I had not found encouragements in your law, I Bible

My last living grandparent, Helen Mullet, went to be with the Lord on Easter morning. For Christians that is both sad and happy. Hungarians say, one eye cries and the other laughs. Removed from family we cry and with family we are joyful in hope. Grandma Helen was one who confessed with her mouth what she believed in her heart—that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. How appropriate for her to be with her Savior on that morning when we celebrate His resurrection.

I had several opportunities this past month to prepare and preach: here in Budapest and at the Hungary Summit in Manhattan, KS. This past month, we were thrilled to learn that a lady in our Alpha course trusted Christ for her salvation. I really enjoy serving with that team in the coffeehouse on Thursday nights. Another great encouragement for us is that two more Hungarian men will be appointed elders in our church. This has been a year in coming. W also had an Easter celebration with all of our English Club participants and their families. We yearn to see them respond to the gospel. Praise God for his faithfulness. Pray that God would continue to add to our number those being saved. Pray for those who are leading the churches in Hungary. Pray for the teams and ministries that will carry on in our absence this summer.

Kari and I spent the last few days of April with a group of Reach Global leaders down on the coast of the Adriatic Sea. We enjoyed the warm hospitality of our Croatian hosts and thankfully the weather was not a distraction. We were able to focus on God’s Word together and were mutually encouraged in faith, community, and ministry. On the one sunny afternoon, we toured Diocletian’s (AD 240-311) palace in Split. He was a Roman emperor renowned for his persecution of Christians. I’m always amazed at the history this continent has locked away and grateful for the era in which God appointed us to live. His instructions endure; follow them.

Joyful in hope,

Brad, for all of us.
