Magyar Mullets January 2007 Newsletter
Dear Family and Friends,
We finally had a day of winter in Budapest, now we’re ready for summer again. There were several highlights in what is usually an otherwise gray and dreary January. I led a few tours for several groups around Budapest the beginning of the month: we saw a spectacular sunset, shared coffee and pastries, and recounted God’s loving-kindness and His faithful guidance of our every step. God reminded me how He brought us here and renewed my heart to reach Hungarians with the gospel and to see churches established. The presence and close proximity of these who have placed their faith and trust in Christ and live for Him was a blessing indeed.
God answered a long prayed prayer for the wife of my 78-year-old friend Géza—since April last year she was sent from one hospital to the next, from one doctor to the next, and only said they would amputate her leg and didn’t think she’d survive anyway. She was finally able to have surgery to replace arteries in her right leg, is home, and recovering well. We praise God.
Hector—Géza’s vicious German shepherd on the other hand, had a tick embedded above his eye—he was taken to the vet, where he tried to eat the vet, so he was sent home to recover under his own recognizance. Seemed Hector had a bad experience with a muzzle some months back and doesn’t like to be touched.
A neighborhood map was recently put up in an area we’ve been praying will be home to the next Evangelical church in Hungary. Would you look at that map and prompt yourself to pray for laborers in that area? Ask that God would direct us in proclaiming His life-giving message and connect us with those He is drawing.
Thank you for your partnership with us in the Gospel. God be praised!
Warmly, Brad for all of us
