Rhino Team Leaders: from three different churches
Dave Johnson
Géza Csányi
Pastor Joe Mlaker
Mark Jensen
Just when we thought it was too cold for zoo animals to come outside...they showed up in Budapest. Some years ago, a guy by the name of Dave Johnson organized a team of men to come assist us in the renovations of our ministry center. He called his band of laborers the Rhino's. Big guys, hard to stop, hard to slow down once they get going, and a host of better qualities all combined to make them a power house of a renovation team.
Last Friday, another Rhino team got off the plane, put on their work clothes, and turned three rooms into one, filling an 8 cubic meter dumpster in less than 8 hours. They hammer-drilled three walls loose from the 12 foot ceiling and commenced a bucket brigade through a window onto the roof and down to a dumpster 35 feet below in the parking lot. In the next four days this empty space will become a kitchenette/laundry room servicing the ministry center occupants and guest apartment. They'll sheet rock the walls, put in an accoustic ceiling, tile the floor and install the cabinets and appliances. They've already got the plumbing done and will work the electrical in the next couple days.
These guys and gals are spending their vacation time and energy to make a lasting contribution to those of us using the ministry center day in and day out. We're so grateful for their sacrifices unto the Lord. Please pray for our safety in the process and good progress to completion by Thursday.
God's blessings to you all,
Brad
